I suppose I should start with a word about my member date. I signed up for a deviantART account in 2006, but this is really the first time I have made the effort to post anything on my page here ^_^ So, I'm a newbie! Hi!

I am a pretty big fan of oekaki boards, but lately, it seems that the communities I've been posting to have become extremely quiet. I recently signed up to Oekaki Central, and was just getting into the swing of things there when it went mysteriously down. While waiting for it to come back online, I posted a Jack Sparrow picture at a different oekaki board, and it was deleted without explanation--very annoying. So I thought I'd post it here. And here I am

I'd like to make it clear that I will happily accept critique both of my artwork and of my etiquette here (like...is it okay to go around "friending" people left, right and centre, or do you need to get to know them first? These things I must learn!), so don't hold back...I want to improve in all ways and will listen to all suggestions, advise and criticism. I hope that people will be...well, nice, obviously, but also truthful! I really want to become a better artist, and that's not going to happen unless people speak their minds.
